Business Growth

Parameterised controls allow system processes to be quickly modified to meet changes in business processes. New channels can be instantly added to meet the challenge of an expanding broadcast business.

Product Management

Integrated within the advertising sales module, a powerful product management module is used to maintain data relating to commercial products. Products can consist of commercials and other types of product such as billboards. Key information held includes product clashing rules, commercial rotation patterns and scheduling rules.

Material Management

Enterprise is able to manage all types of media including items held on a Video Server as well as a traditional tape library. Features include the recording of media movements, maintaining multiple libraries and managing duplication and 'wipe' operations. We can provide label printing and bar-code processing facilities to assist in the material tracking process. Reconciliation with automation system media database keeps both systems synchronised.

Program Management

A comprehensive database holding information relating to all program material, this includes multiple titles, synopsis, cast, and awards. Guidelines such as viewing rules, censorship and certification are stored to control the scheduling process. Episodes can be generated at the click of a button with no limit on the number that can be created.

Promotion & Filler Management

The system holds an extensive database of promotion material which includes details such as title, music usage, version and so on. It is possible to associate promotion material to programs, a link that can be used for promotion planning and analysis. Promotions can be quickly generated from schedule events and an in built workflow process is used to notify production of promotions required.

Transmission Scheduling

Transmission schedules are generated from the planning area and finalised in the Presentation area before exporting to automation. Features such as drag and drop of promotions, automatic time-checking and the automatic insertion of logos (bugs) are standard.

The contents of program break junctions are automatically created using a standard set of 'break templates' ensuring items such as channel identifiers and commercial introductions are included in the correct places. Time can be easily filled using several automated promotion placement routines.

Seamless integration between scheduling and advertising sales avoids last-minute merge problems and allows ad-sales a longer period of selling.

Program Planning

We understand that a structured scheduling process is essential in any broadcast environment and it is important that schedulers are provided with the facilities to quickly manipulate and analyse their schedules.

Outline schedules can be maintained as program planning templates that hold the preferred schedule content, transmission rules, commercial break structures and budget for each slot. The live programme planning section involves the selection of the program content for inclusion in the schedule, the integration with the Program Rights module ensures that only valid content can be selected.

Program selection filters and drag and drop scheduling support rapid planner preparation along with facilities provided to automate the scheduling of series and repeat patterns across a range of dates.

Customisable graphical layouts and on-line analysis tools allow users to show the programme usage in several different forms. Planner data can also be used to generate output for EPG system

As-run Log Management

Post-transmission logs can be accepted from automation equipment and automatically verified to check that all events were transmitted.

Transmission details are used to update the program transmission history including the runs taken and amortisation calculations. The automatic reconciliation rules for commercials are configurable and commercial transmission details are used in the Ad-Sales Finance module for invoicing and credit check purposes. Also available is a comprehensive Spot resolution management feature to handle scheduling changes and amendments entered in the log itself.

All content library modules have direct links with the post transmission schedules for actual transmission records.

Licensing Rights Management

Enterprise is able to ensure that broadcasters make full use of assets by maintaining accurate records of all contractual and financial information relating to titles and episodes. When coupled with scheduling modules the system is able to track availability periods and runs taken preventing any violation of rights. Amortisation is automatically calculated from scheduling information using user defined amortisation formulae.

Increased Sales Revenue

Real time updating of advertising sales schedules and associated break availability ensures that sales executives can quickly react to schedule changes. Commercial spots can be immediately rescheduled ensuring that revenues can be maximised. Graphical availability views and alerts inform users of airtime to be filled and any breaks or programs that are overbooked.

Management Reporting

A comprehensive set of management reports and graphical analysis tools are provided with ENTERPRISE, these are based on the operational database ensuring that management information is up to date. The information is also available over the Internet using the standard BTS user-interface so allowing remote access to management information.

Tailored Solution

ENTERPRISE can be modified to meet all types of business and operational workflows, in addition to in-built configurations the system is designed to easily accommodate changes to meet the challenges faced by today's broadcasters.

Open Architecture

ENTERPRISE is built on an open platform that supports all leading hardware, operating system and database platforms. As a consequence ENTERPRISE customers can be assured that the system can be implemented on a platform that fits within pre-existing corporate IT strategy.

Streamlined Workflow

Fully integrated modules ensure that information is available to all users as soon as it is entered, this ensures that there are no delays in supplying information across the business to support operational decision making.

Detailed system configuration and security settings enable the system to be moulded to meet your internal department workflows.

Interface Gateway

An interface gateway facility allows you to configure and create your own interfaces to other systems.

Seamless Link with Automation

ENTERPRISE can be linked directly with automation systems so that data can be shared between both processes. In addition to playlist and as-run interfaces it is also possible to reconcile the Enterprise and automation databases to ensure schedulers have access to real time ingested material information.

Assured Schedule Content

Schedule content is fully validated against all the pre-defined rules and checks. These include checks for program rights violations, timing errors, missing media, invalid copy rotations, hourly minutage allowances and so on. The configurable schedule validation processes ensures that broadcast output is error free.

Improved Staff Productivity

Routines such as automatic placement of promotions and commercials, schedule time checking and material validation simplify the traffic process allowing minimal staff to manage multiple channels
